MOUNDSVILLE – Marshall County residents voted Tuesday to reelect two incumbents to the board of education along with a new face.
According to unofficial vote totals, incumbent board member Duane Miller was reelected, receiving 2,341 votes, along with incumbent board member Christie Robison, who received 2,364 votes. Newcomer David Robbins also won a seat, receiving 2,578 votes.

Miller said he was very happy that county voters reelected him to serve on the board of education again.
“We’re going to continue to do the right things for the kids and financially,” he said. “I’m very pleased with residents’ confidence in reelecting me for a fourth term. We’re there for the right reasons.”
Robison expressed gratitude for her supporters.
“I am humbled by the support for those who voted for me, grateful for the opportunity to continue serving, and eager to continue to do the very best we can for our students and those who serve them,” she said.
Robbins could not be reached at press time for comment.
There were three districts and five candidates on the ballot. Districts 2 and 3 each have two representatives, while District 1 had one seat open. Board of education seats are nonpartisan.
