A five-figure matching donation helped the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley raise more than $80,000 in its recent Match Madness fundraising campaign.

The organization raised $81,631.02 in total, which will directly support local nonprofits and community initiatives. That total includes a $15,000 matching donation from PittsburghBerger and Green, whose generosity for a second consecutive year helped inspire and multiply community giving.

Match Madness is an annual campaign held by the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley through the month of March. The high-energy fundraising event is designed to rally community support and boost donations to help meet critical needs across the sevencounty footprint served by the United Way. The funds raised will support a wide range of services including youth programs, food assistance, mental health resources, and

emergency support. The campaign’s “match” element encourages donors to give, knowing their contributions will be doubled thanks to the generous match from Berger and Green.
