ST. CLAIRSVILLE – A new event center created for weddings and other special happenings is ready to show itself off to the community.
An open house is planned for 5-8 p.m. on June 19 at the Crescent Acres Event Center, located at 70200 Crescent Road in St. Clairsville.
Distinctive and large front windows provide dramatic natural light for weddings, and a nearby pond offers the option for an outdoor venue. There’s also a large deck that overlooks the property.
Crescent Acres hosted its first wedding on May 2, and since then, two more weddings have happened there.
“We do normal events also – baby showers and graduations. But our main priority is weddings,” explained Mikaya Green, one of five owners of Crescent Acres.
The venue has the capacity to accommodate up to 250 guests.
So visitors to the open house may better see what their event might look like there, the grounds will be set up as if there were a wedding taking place, Green explained.
“We wanted an open house, and we also wanted it to feel like a wedding environment,” she said. “We will do a table set up, and people can really check out and see what it looks like. All spaces will be styled.”
Vendors include Last Call, Abbey’s, Around The World Gourmet, LaBowls, Events Aesthetics, Keith Shreve, Miah Runkle, Color Me Madd, Halle Markovich Beauty, Smashbooths, Little Sprinkles Bakery and Hannah Beal Photography.
She noted anyone can come to the open house.
“All the vendors are doing giveaways. Anyone who comes can enter the giveaways,” Green said.
Information about the vendor giveaways is available on Crescent Acres Events social media, and on its website, crescentacresevents.com.
The venue has reservations through most of 2026, but is looking to fill up in 2027. Those wanting to fill out an application may do so at the same website address.
Green and two of the owners, Breanne and Brad Tomolonis, have experience as wedding photographers. They met up with Alexis and Tyler Lunsford, who owned the St. Clairsville property where they wanted to open an event center.
The group drew from their collective experiences to create what they believed to be an ideal event center.
“We built it from scratch. It’s not just a building we filled,” she said. “We designed it ourselves.”
The covered deck measures 1,128 square feet and overlooks the property and pond,” Green added. “We have an indoor/outdoor bar area, a prep kitchen, and a designated buffet area. And we have multiple ceremony locations.”
The facility has private load-in and load-out spaces for vendors. There is also a loft area that overlooks the main hall.
“And we are super close to the (Ohio Valley) mall, and three miles to the nearest hotel,” Green said.
“We have utilized the wedding experience we’ve gained over the years, and every detail is intentional. I don’t think there is any other venue in the Ohio Valley right now,” she continued.
