MOUNDSVILLE -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team executed a felony arrest warrant Monday for a man accused of stealing an ATV.
Sheriff Mike Dougherty said deputies arrested Tristen E. Weyrick at his residence on Harts Run Road in Marshall County on June 29.
Dougherty said Weyrick attempted to evade law enforcement by hiding underneath the residence. Deputies located him beneath the home following a search and took him into custody without incident.
The arrest resulted from a joint investigation between the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and the Pennsylvania State Police. Authorities said the felony warrant was issued after investigators determined Weyrick had stolen an ATV.
"This arrest is another example of the outstanding work being accomplished through strong partnerships between law enforcement agencies," Dougherty said. "Working closely with the Pennsylvania State Police and our Special Response Team continues to prove that cooperation and communication are effective tools in combating crime in Marshall County and ensuring those responsible are held accountable."
The sheriff's office said it remains committed to working with local, state and federal partners to keep communities safe.
