Ohio Co. Democrats to meet Aug. 10

The August meeting of the Ohio County Democratic Committee will take place on August 10, 2026 at 6:00pm.

This meeting will be held at the First Capitol Building, 1413 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV.

The purpose of this meeting will be to fill committee vacancies in Magisterial District 1- one male and two females and Magisterial District 3- one male and two females.

All Democrats are welcome.

Cabbage Roll Dinner Offered in Warwood
WHEELING -- A cabbage roll dinner will be served from 4:30-6:30 p.m. July 14 at Warwood United Methodist Church, 1438 Warwood Ave., Wheeling. The dinner can be eaten in or taken out. The meal includes homemade cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and choice of dessert. The price is $15. Following dinner people can visit the farmers’ market and free concert with classic rock band Vinyl Soul at Garden Park.
Road excavation scheduled in Littleton

Wetzel County Route 9/2 (Robinson Ridge Road) near Littleton at milepost 2.27 will be closed near the intersection of County Route 9 (Sugar Run Road), beginning on Thursday, July 9, through late July for road excavation to the new bridge. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.

As an alternate route use County Route 9 (Sugar Run Road).

Multiple lane closures in Wetzel County

Portions of U.S. 250 (Hornet Highway), Wetzel County Route 14 (Browns Road) and Wetzel County Route 250/1 (Wolf Run Road) near Hundred will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning Friday, July 10, through early November for fiber optic installation. Flaggers will be maintaining traffic. Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays.

Sistersville paving project closes lanes

A portion of W.Va. 2, at milepost 9.18 in Sistersville will be restricted to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through early August for paving. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays.
