Portion of Mount de Chantal Road closed Wednesday
A portion of Mt. de Chantal Road between Pallister Road and Rock Point Road will be closed from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday for storm sewer work, according to Wheeling city officials. Drivers should follow the posted detour. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
I-70 bridge inspection scheduled in Elm Grove
A portion of Interstate 70 eastbound and westbound in Elm Grove will have the right lanes closed at milepost 4.70 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1, for bridge inspection. Flaggers will maintain traffic on U.S. 40. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.

Maintenance scheduled for Fork Ridge Road
A portion of 12th Street and County Route 17 (Fork Ridge Road) in Moundsville will be restricted to one lane from milepost 0.09 to milepost 10.01 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 28, for road maintenance. Flaggers will maintain traffic. Motorists are advise to slow down and expect delays.

Roberts Ridge Road to close for slip repair
A portion of Marshall County Route 21 (Roberts Ridge Road) will be closed from milepost 0.94 to milepost 1.03 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, through early November for a slip repair. A temporary traffic signal will be used after hours. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. For alternate routes, use County Route 4, St. Joseph's Road; County Route 89, Proctor Creek Road to WV 2; or use County Route 74, Fish Creek Road to WV 2.

A portion of Marshall County Route 94 (Fish Ridge Road) from milepost 1.59 to milepost 4.26 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 26, through mid-September for ditching. Flaggers will maintain traffic. Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays.
