BELLAIRE -- Five people were arrested Thursday following a drug raid at a Bellaire apartment where detectives seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, according to the Belmont County Sheriff's Office.
The search warrant was executed at an apartment on Hamilton Street in Bellaire. Detectives seized suspected quantities of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine from inside the apartment, according to the sheriff's office.
Arrested were Damon Pernick, 34, of Bridgeport; Blake Yates, 38, of Bellaire; Adam May, 36, of St. Clairsville; Leahann Sullivan, 39, of St. Clairsville; and Eli Sullivan, 23, of St. Clairsville.
Charges requested in connection with the investigation include trafficking in fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule I or II substance, drug manufacturing, permitting drug abuse, possession of criminal tools and possession of drug abuse instruments, according to the sheriff's office.
Pernick also was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack commended the sheriff's office Criminal Interdiction Unit for its efforts to prevent illegal narcotics from reaching the community.
Zusack also thanked the Bellaire Police Department for its assistance with the investigation.
