Families were able to get a closer look at some heavy equipment Saturday outside The Highlands Sports Complex, as Holy Family Child Care and Development Center held its annual Touch A Truck event. This hands-on community event gives children and families the rare opportunity to explore, climb aboard, and learn about massive vehicles up close, with a diverse lineup scheduled to arrive including fire trucks, police cruisers, excavators, dump trucks, tow trucks, and garbage trucks. A 50-50 raffle and basket raffles also were available, with all proceeds going to Holy Family, to help it expand services to a brand-new second location, and pioneer the very first crisis nursery in the state of West Virginia.
