MOUNDSVILLE — The city of Moundsville’s free Monster Splash Halloween Pool Party is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Four Seasons Swimming Pool, 300 Mulberry Ave.
Moundsville City Manager Rick Healy said this particular pool party had not been held for a few years, but after hosting it last year, it was a big hit.
“This is just another way to give back to the citizens who support the pool all year,” he said. “It also ties into our effort to provide low cost or free events for families in Moundsville.”
The city annually holds a Christmas pool party and an Easter drive-through as well.
Healy said during the two-hour Monster Splash children can swim for free. They will also receive a gift bag and free snacks. He noted Halloween costumes are not necessary because it is swimming party, but if children choose to dress up for their arrival, that is OK.
“These are fun events, and we encourage people to take advantage of them,” he added.
The city of Moundsville’s regular Trick-or-Treat session is scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Those who wish to hand out candy should leave their porch lights on.
