Jim Kudlak Wins Marshall County Commission Seat Race

MOUNDSVILLE -- Republican Jim Kudlak won his bid for a Marshall County Commission seat during Tuesday’s General Election.
According to unofficial vote totals, Kudlak received 4,195 votes, while his challenger for the seat, Democrat Leigh Ann Scherich, received 3,595 votes.
“I’m excited about the results. This is my first time into this,” Kudlak said of the race. “I’m humbled that the people of Marshall County have confidence in me.”
Kudlak said he also wanted to thank his family, friends and volunteers for their support.
He noted he already has plans for when he begins his work as a commissioner.
“Once I decompress from all of this, I want to go ahead and start doing a listening tour,” he said. “I want to go to all the departments and elected officials and talk to the workers. Because the workers are where you are going to find out what is happening.”
Kudlak will be replacing Commissioner Scott Varner who is retiring.
