Oglebay Institute’s School of Dance are bringing The Nutcracker and ‘The Muttcracker,’ the furry-friend focused benefit show, back to Towngate Theatre. Some proceeds from the Muttcracker will go to the Ohio County Animal Shelter, with cleaning and food supplies collected for the shelter at the door. The Nutcracker showtimes are 7 p.m. December 17, 18 and 20, with a matinee showing on December 20 at 3 p.m. The Muttcracker performance is scheduled for December 18 at 3 p.m. Each Nutcracker showing is $20 per ticket, with the Muttcracker being $25 -- $5 of the price benefits the Ohio County Animal Shelter. Oglebay Institute’s School of Dance has partnered with the Animal Shelter for a few years and the partnership has no plans of stopping.
