Jeff Davis captured a seat on the Tyler County Commission, defeating Steven Weigle on Tuesday in the Republican primary. There was no Democratic candidate, so Davis will advance. Davis, a lifelong Tyler County resident, recently retired as treasurer and chief school business officer for the Tyler County Board of Education.
