Blaze Leaves Warwood Home a Total Loss

WHEELING — The Wheeling Fire Department responded to a fully involved house fire in the 400 block of Highland Avenue in the Warwood neighborhood at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters were dispatched after a 911 call reported the blaze. Heavy flames and smoke were visible when crews arrived. Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. The home is considered a total loss. Warwood Avenue was temporarily restricted while firefighters worked at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
