Glenn Elliott Says He Will Seek Re-Election as Wheeling Mayor
WHEELING — Mayor Glenn Elliott said Friday he will seek re-election in 2020, and he plans an official announcement in the coming week.
Elliott’s decision comes as prospective candidates for office in West Virginia begin submitting candidacy filings Monday, officially kicking off the 2020 election year. Filing season in West Virginia continues through midnight on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Elliott indicated he will file for re-election sometime next week, and will make an official announcement shortly after. He offered no additional comment.
