Thursday Update: Northern Panhandle Counties See No New Positive COVID-19 Cases

There were no new COVID-19 cases recorded from Tuesday through Thursday in the Northern Panhandle, according to figures released by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

Locally, Ohio County remains at 22 cases, with half of those released from quarantine and one death. Marshall and Hancock counties have identified seven positive cases, with at least two in Marshall County released from quarantine. Brooke, Wetzel and Tyler counties each have three recorded cases.

Statewide, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reports 723 positive cases, with 12 deaths. A total of 18,027 laboratory results have been received, to date.
