Man Assaulted, Robbed at Gunpoint Thursday Afternoon in North Wheeling

WHEELING — City police said a man was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon in North Wheeling.

Police were called to Fifth Street about noon for a fight and found a man who was assaulted and robbed by three people before they left in a car.

The man told investigators the driver of the car showed a gun and then a man and woman who were passengers assaulted him and took his wallet.

They left in a white, mid-sized vehicle with an Ohio license plate, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Wheeling Fire Department.
