Wheeling police arrest Bellaire man following alleged road rage incident

WHEELING — City police on Sunday arrested Bellaire resident Robert Franklin Henry on charges of fleeing from police while intoxicated, felony fleeing, speeding and obstructing an officer.
According to a release from the Wheeling Police Department, officers were called to Warwood shortly after noon on Sunday for a report of road rage. After spotting the vehicle, officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, which led to a pursuit on W.Va. 2 headed south on River Road.
Henry, 46, the driver, drove recklessly at a high rate of speed through North Wheeling and onto Interstate 70 east, police said. He exited the interstate at Exit 2A, the Oglebay exit, and crashed into the shrubbery. He then exited his car and ran from police on Mount DeChantal Road. Officers were able to catch up with the suspect on foot and tase him near Kroger before taking him into custody.
