Marshall County Health Department Sets COVID Vaccination Clinic for Monday
The Marshall County Health Department has set a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for those 80 and older for Monday.
The clinic will be held at the Chevron Building at the Marshall County Fairgrounds, 12th Street in Moundsville. The department has 100 doses of the Moderna vaccine to deliver to those 80 and older. Earlier this week, Gov. Jim Justice announced that the state would move those seniors up on the vaccination schedule.
Appointments are required. Interested Marshall County residents can schedule appointments by calling 304-551-4296 starting at 10 a.m. today. Once the 100 appointments are full, the line will turn off. Do not call the regular Marshall County Health Department number to schedule a vaccination.
Due to social distancing limitations and occupancy restrictions, those with appointments must come to the building at the time of their appointment. They do not need to arrive early. Face masks or face shields are required of everyone to assist in protecting everyone working at this clinic. Due to social distancing within the clinic setting, only those being vaccinated will be allowed within the building unless there is a medical need for assistance.
The department requests that proof of age and Marshall County residency be provided the day of the event to speed up registration.
