By From Staff Reports 2 min read

Old Man Winter might not be done just yet with the Ohio Valley.

After several inches of snow fell last week and Monday, followed by freezing rain Monday night, the Valley could see yet another bout of snow today. The National Weather Service bureau in Pittsburgh has issued a winter weather advisory through 7 a.m. Friday for the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, eastern Ohio and western Pennyslvania.

The NWS expects between 2 and 4 inches of snow to fall in that period. The heaviest snow, it said, likely will fall before and during the morning commute. Slippery road conditions are expected and both morning and evening commutes could be affected. Drivers should slow down and use caution while traveling.

According to the National Weather Service, the chances of precipitation are 80 percent during the day Thursday and 70 percent Thursday night. Snowfall possibilities drop on Friday.

Throughout the rest of the week, temperatures will remain cold.

Highs are expected to be near or below freezing through Saturday, with lows in the 20s Thursday, the teens Friday and the single digits Saturday.

On Sunday, though, the region looks like it will start warming up.

The highs Sunday and Monday are predicted to be in the upper 30s, with highs Tuesday and Wednesday in the low 40s.
