More than 100,000 people in West Virginia are now fully vaccinated from COVID-19.
According to the Department of Health and Human Resources website, there are 108,000 West Virginians who have received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The state has received 121,400 second doses so far, and has distributed 89.7 percent of them.
The number of West Virginians who have received their first dose also continues to rise.
The state has administered 221,347 first doses, finding some extra doses out of the 207,200 it has received. So West Virginia has given out 106.8 percent of its first doses.
The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department announced 11 new positive COVID cases in its Tuesday night update, bringing the county's totals to 3,649 cases and 64 deaths since the pandemic began.
The Northern Panhandle's four counties all were at least in orange yet again on the DHHR's Tuesday COVID alert map. Hancock, Ohio and Marshall counties all were in orange and Brooke County was in yellow.
Hancock County had an infection rate of 18.84 cases per 100,000 residents and a percent positivity of 5.15. Brooke County had an infection rate of 17.58 cases per 100,000 residents and a percent positivity of 3.07.
Ohio County had an infection rate of 26.56 cases per 100,000 residents and a percent positivity of 5.15. Marshall County had an infection rate of 41.18 cases per 100,000 residents and a percent positivity of 7.63.
In Ohio, the Belmont County Health Department reported 5,125 cases since the pandemic arrived in March, with 58 hospitalized and 92 related deaths. The latest death, reported Tuesday, was a man in his 80s.
The Marshall County Health Department had not updated its Facebook page with Tuesday's numbers by 11. p.m.
