3 of 4 Northern Panhandle Counties Green on Monday COVID Map
Brooke, Ohio and Marshall counties have gone green.
The trio of Northern Panhandle counties sits in the safest category on the Department of Health and Human Resources Monday COVID-19 alert map. Hancock County is yellow, the second-safest category.
Ohio, Marshall and Brooke are among the 23 West Virginia counties in green on Monday’s map. There are no counties in red, the map’s highest-risk category, and only four counties in orange, the second-highest-risk category.
In other positive COVID-19 news, the DHHR reported no deaths in the 24-hour period prior to Monday’s map release. Also, the state is nearing 300,000 first doses of COVID vaccine administered and 200,000 fully vaccinated. The DHHR reported Monday that 298,942 first doses have been given out and 197,756 are fully vaccinated.
