Appalachian Power Co. currently is reporting more than 1,200 Ohio County customers without power. According to Appalachian Power’s outage map, power is expected to be restored by 10 p.m. Thursday.
Appalachian Power spokeswoman Joelle Moray said the outage was due to a weather-related equipment issue on GC&P Road.
