The Fort Henry Bridge is going to lose its two-toned look soon, as crews with North Star Painting Company of Youngstown, Ohio, have been positioning large tarps over the eastbound side of the structure over the past fews days as part of a massive containment system put in place with assembled cables and brackets. Crews are scheduled to begin sandblasting and painting the eastbound side of the superstructure once the containment system is completely in place as part of the ongoing I-70 Bridges Project in Ohio County. While the westbound side of the bridge arch was painted a bright royal blue hue last summer, the eastbound side has remained a faded green color. Pending weather conditions, DOH officials expect the painting to take about a month or two pending weather conditions.
