Wheeling Park Homecoming Game Off; Alternate Opponent Can’t Be Found

Wheeling Park’s game against Cleveland VASJ slated for Friday has been canceled due to a COVID outbreak for Park.

The Wheeling Park High School football team’s homecoming game scheduled for Friday is officially off the slate.
It was put in peril Wednesday when original opponent Fairmont Senior could not play due to COVID-19 issues among the Polar Bear team. WPHS looked for an alternate opponent for Friday, but one could not be found.
Full ticket reimbursements for the canceled game will be processed through the high school’s online vendor. Park will crown its homecoming queen at Saturday night’s dance. Doors will open for students at 6:30 p.m. and the crowning ceremony will be held at 7 p.m.
