A Wheeling man was arrested Wednesday morning on a pair of charges of possession with intent to deliver following a Wheeling Island traffic stop.
According to the Wheeling Police Department, Edauncea Walker, 25, was taken to the Northern Regional Jail by WPD on Wednesday morning. He was arraigned by an Ohio County magistrate, who set bond at $25,000.
Around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, police pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of N. Wabash and New Jersey streets, WPD said. An officer approaching the vehicle allegedly detected a smell of marijuana and noted a passenger concealing items and acting suspiciously.
Police then searched the vehicle and occupants and allegedly found crack cocaine, heroin and suspected pressed fentanyl individually bagged on Walker, who was one of the passengers.
As a result, Walker was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver. He also was a wanted person from Belmont County, Ohio on drug trafficking charges.
