Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce Unveils New Logo With Rebranding Effort Underway

The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce unveiled a new logo Monday, an abstract design of the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge.

WHEELING -- The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce unveiled a new look with its logo Monday afternoon, and that makeover won't be the chamber's last one.

The logo change is the first step in new branding and a new website. Beyond Marketing is the group behind all the new changes.

The new chamber logo, is an abstract design of the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge, according to a chamber news release. It signifies the connection between the Wheeling area community and its business, as well as the bridge between the chamber's past and future.

The logo incorporates the West Virginia colors blue and gold, also integral in the city of Wheeling's flag. It also adds other colors that signify the inclusion of people and the community.

According to the chamber, the blue in the logo signifies security, orderliness, stability and reliability. The yellow signifies optimism, encourages analytical thinking and promotes happiness and positivity.

The orange stands for enthusiasm excitement and creative energy, while the teal stands for thoughtfulness, calm, balance, open communication, clarity and uniqueness.

The unveiling of the Wheeling Area Chamber logo comes ahead of its new branding and website, also being designed by Beyond Marketing. The new website promises to bring efficiency for chamber members and individual users and the Wheeling Area Chamber hopes to launch the site as soon as possible.

The Wheeling Area Chamber was founded in 1966 and currently boasts more than 600 active members. The mission of the Wheeling Area Chamber is to advance business development for members through advocacy, government relations, education, and community development.
