Wheeling Police Looking For Suspect In Weekend Shots Fired Incident

The Wheeling Police Department is looking for a suspect in a weekend incident where gunshots were fired on Eoff Street.

According to a WPD release, investigators are looking for Michael Shawndale Davis, 39, of Wheeling, as a suspect based on statements provided to detectives and video surveillance. Davis is wanted for a pair of felonies – wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

According to the WPD, officers were called to the 1300 block of Eoff Street at around 3:45 p.m. Saturday for a report of gunshots in the area. When police arrived, witnesses informed them that a man fired several shots towards an individual in front of the Formosa Apartments and then fled on foot towards Chapline Street. It was later determined no one was injured from the gunshots.
