Heating issues will close Wheeling Park High School on Wednesday, according to a call sent to families Tuesday night.
According to WPHS Principal Meredith Dailer, there would not be a fix to the school’s heating problems by Wednesday morning and the school had already fallen below an acceptable temperature. A call sent out earlier Tuesday evening stated that school officials had hoped the building would remain warm enough to allow for classes.
The Patriot Pops Concert, scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday was still on as of Tuesday evening, according to a separate call sent to WPHS choir and jazz band students. Those students will be notified if plans change.
