West Virginia University Alumnus and basketball standout John Flowers – general manager and player for the WVU alumni team Best Virginia – speaks during a press conference Tuesday at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, which for the first time this summer will serve as a regional host for The Basketball Tournament.

Basketball fans can get their fix of some high-quality hoops at WesBanco Arena starting July 25.

The West Virginia regional of The Basketball Tournament - the 64-team, single-elimination, $1 million winner-take-all tournament - will be held July 25-29, with a championship quarterfinal following at the arena July 30. This will be the first time a championship-round game will be held in West Virginia.

The regional's first round will tip off July 25, with the second round July 27 and the regional championship played July 29. Best Virginia, a team made up mainly of West Virginia University basketball alumni, is the host team.

The last two West Virginia regionals have been held in Charleston, but the tournament announced in February that the tournament bracket will move north this summer to Wheeling. Other host cities are Wichita, Kansas; Syracuse, New York; Louisville, Kentucky; Dayton, Ohio; and Cincinnati, Ohio. One more host city has yet to be announced.

Best Virginia also recently announced to members of the 2023 roster - former All-Big East selection and second-team All-American Kevin Jones and former All-Big 12 defensive teamer Nate Adrian.

Presale tickets are available May 1 and can be accessed by signing up for the TBT ticket waitlist. General public tickets go on sale May 4. For more information, go to thetournament.com.
