Former West Virginia University men's basketball coach Bob Huggins received 12-month non-reporting probation following his DUI arrest in June after entering a pre-trial diversion program in Pennsylvania, according to documents from the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.

Huggins was arrested in June on DUI charges after failing multiple field sobriety tests on Merchant Street in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh police found him there as the tire to his SUV was shredded and the vehicle was in the middle of the road blocking traffic. According to police reports, his blood alcohol level was .210.

According to court documents, Huggins must complete the following requirements:

- 12 months Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition probation. The probation could end after six months if all conditions are complete.

- 60 days suspended driver's license

- Alcohol treatment as recommended following the Court Reporting Network assessment.

- Paying all court costs

- Completion of an approved "Alcohol Highway Safety School" classes. Approximately 12½ hours of attendance is required.

Huggins has already paid the court costs totalling $2,810.25.

That DUI cost Huggins his job in June, as he announced his resignation and retirement late that weekend. Huggins later claimed he had not resigned and asked to be reinstated as coach. WVU denied that request and disputed his claims.
