Marshall County Fall Dumpster Cleanup Sets 2023 Schedule

MOUNDSVILLE -- The Marshall County Solid Waste Authority's Fall Dumpster Cleanup is slated to kick off Saturday and run through Oct. 29 in several locations across the county.

An electronics recycling event is being planned for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at John Marshall High School's north parking lot.

TVs will not be accepted.

Items that will be accepted include car and light truck tires 17 inches and smaller, appliances such as stoves and refrigerators, electronics, computers, air conditioners, humidifiers and dehumidifiers.

The rest of the fall cleanup is for residential household items. No hazardous materials will be accepted.

Large appliances such as stoves and refrigerators will not be accepted.

Scrap metal, car parts, fuels and household trash will not be accepted.

Dumpsters will be located at the following locations from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Marshall County residents can use any of the sites:

Oct. 13-14 -- Benwood City Maintenance Garage;

Oct. 13-14 -- McMechen's old football field;

Oct. 20-21 -- Glen Dale City Garage;

Oct. 20-21 -- Sam Shaw Walking Trail, Moundsville;

Oct. 28 -- Cameron Elementary School;

Oct. 28 -- VFD Headquarters, Roberts Ridge;

Nov. 4 -- Hilltop Elementary School; and

Nov. 4 -- Limestone VFD headquarters.

Residents must be prepared to show proof of their Marshall County residency during the cleanups.
