MOUNDSVILLE — Marshall County residents and business owners who suffered damages or losses from the flooding that occurred April 4 are encouraged to report it as information is still being collected countywide and across the state, said Tom Hart, director of the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency.
Hart said staff from FEMA, the Small Business Administration and West Virginia Emergency Management Division were in the Moundsville area early Tuesday before heading to Wetzel County.
“We will continue to collect information from residents and businesses. Some folks haven’t reported anything; however, while we were out on Tuesday, there were several people that came up to us and asked if it was too late to report losses or damages so we were able to provide information to them on how to do so,” Hart said.
People can report their flood damages by calling the Marshall County Emergency Management office at 304-843-1130. They can also call WV 211, who will assist them with reporting damages through Survey123 for the West Virginia Emergency Management Division.
While that process is still underway, information for damages and losses can still be reported and added to what has already been collected, Hart said.
