Wheeling Mayor and U.S. Senate candidate Glenn Elliott talks to an out-of-town reporter after U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., endorsed Elliott in the Democratic primary. It is the retiring Manchin's seat that is up for grabs.

Glenn Elliott, mayor of Wheeling, has secured the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate with 44,505 votes, or 46%, with 92% of all precincts reporting. Zach Shrewsbury finished second with 34,700 votes while Don Blankenship came in third with 17,666 votes.
