A Moundsville man was arrested early Friday morning on a malicious wounding charge following an incident at his home, according to Moundsville police.
According to a MPD news release, Jonathon Kimble, 48, was arrested following a confrontation with his 41-year-old friend. The confrontation ended with the friend suffering a gunshot wound, the release said. Police records show Kimble and the victim listing their address as where the incident occurred.
The victim was life flighted to Morgantown and was in surgery Friday morning at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital. He is expected to survive. Kimble is currently in Northern Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
