Parts of West Liberty University continue to be off limits after a gas leak was reported on campus.
College Hall remains closed at WLU, according to reports, while the ASRC, Fine Arts Building and Arnett Hall have all been reopened. The gas leak occurred when a high-pressure line near the football field was hit during construction.
The town of West Liberty was temporarily put in a shelter-in-place advisory when the leak initially occurred. West Liberty Elementary turned off its heating and cooling systems as a precaution, but instruction went as planned and students were not sent home.
The gas company continues to repair the line.
