The Wheeling Fire Department is working to put out a house fire at 2517 Vance Avenue in Warwood.

The house was not believed to be occupied. One firefighter suffered minor injuries. There are currently no other reported injuries.

WPD responded to a call about smoke coming from the house around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday.

The fire started on the first floor of the home and spread to the second floor. Crews are still working to put the flames out, which may be made more challenging by the wind, according to officials.
