Robert “Bob” Dobkin on Thursday announced his candidacy to seek the Republican nomination for the West Virginia State Senate in the Second Senatorial District.

“West Virginia needs proven leaders who are focused on growing our economy, rebuilding

our state’s infrastructure, and improving education for all of our students,” said Dobkin. I plan to continue the work of Senator (Charlie) Clements and be that leader for the Second District.”

Dobkin is an attorney and community leader who has built his career on helping families, small businesses, and local organizations navigate complex legal and financial matters. He practices law at Spilman Thomas & Battle in their Wheeling oƯice, where his practice centers on corporate and business law, mineral law, and estate and trust planning.

“I will be a common-sense conservative who will prioritize jobs, economic development,

and family values. We need to focus on the issues that will make West Virginia a great place to live, work, and raise a family,” he said.

Dobkin is running for the State Senate in order to bring disciplined decision-making and a results-oriented mindset to Charleston.
