Wheeling, Glen Dale Residents Identified as Fatal I-70 Crash Victims
CLAYSVILLE, Pa. — A Glen Dale man and Wheeling woman have been identified as the two killed in a Friday crash near the 5-mile marker on Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania, according to multiple reports.
The reports state that, according to Pennsylvania State police, a Hyundai sedan driven by Donna K. Havens, 59, of Wheeling was traveling east near the Claysville exit before it crossed the grass median and hit a westbound Ford SUV driven by William L. Magers, 69, of Glen Dale.
The Washington County coroner pronounced both dead at the scene. A passenger in the SUV was taken to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital with injuries. Another passenger in the SUV was unharmed.
The crash, which happened around 5 p.m. Friday, shut down both lanes of I-70 for several hours and gnarled traffic all the way into Elm Grove.
Assisting at the scene were Ambulance and Chair and Canonsburg EMS, the Claysville, West Alexander and Valley Grove fire departments and Ohio County Emergency Management.
