Wheeling Park High Speech Team Wins 46th Straight State Championship

Powered by 10 individual state championships, the Wheeling Park High School speech and debate team won its 46th consecutive state championship Saturday at West Virginia University in Morgantown.
The team has won the state championship every year since 1980.
Senior Will Medovic was named the tournament’s top overall speaker after winning a state title in informative speaking and state runner-up trophies in prose interpretation and duo interpretation with Claire McFadden.
