One lane is now open on Interstate 470 West after a collision between two tractor trailers shut down that side of the interstate for more than an hour.

Crews continued to clean up the wreck, though the left lane of I-470 was open, with traffic moving slowly past. The Wheeling Police Department had been blocking the on-ramp to the Veterans Memorial Bridge in South Wheeling to alleviate traffic problems.

A two-vehicle accident shortly after 8 a.m. has traffic at a standstill on Interstate 470 west in Ohio and pushing back into West Virginia. The accident happened just past the Ohio 7 intersection heading toward St. Clairsville.

Traffic is backed up toward the Bethlehem off-ramp to I-470 in West Virginia.
