The September 2026 term of the Ohio County Circuit Court grand jury returned 25 indictments against 26 people this week, according to Ohio County Prosecutor Shawn Turak announced.
The following people have been charged as follows:
— Ame Rena Bumpous, 51, West Columbia, one count of the felony offense of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death.
— Tyler William Bland, 24, Wheeling, one count of the felony offense of Kidnapping, two counts of the felony offense of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, and two counts of the felony offense of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree.
— Amberlyn Nicole Baker, 35, Wheeling, two counts of the felony offense of Child Abuse Creating Substantial Risk of Death or Serious Bodily Injury and against Samuel Franklin Griffin, 27, of Wheeling, two counts of the felony offense of Child Abuse Creating Substantial Risk of Death or Serious Bodily Injury.
— David Vincent Tyler, Jr., 28, Wheeling, nine counts of the felony offense of Sexual Abuse by a Parent, Guardian, Custodian or Person in Position of Trust, three counts of the felony offense of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, seven counts of the felony offense of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree and three counts of the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
— Willard Lee Atwell, 27, Cameron, one count of the felony offense of Domestic Violence, Third or Subsequent Offense.
— Beth Anne Gregg, 39, Wheeling, two counts of the felony offense of Malicious Assault.
— Liddell Lawrence Reese, 32, Wheeling, one count of the felony offense of Strangulation, one count of the felony offense of Malicious Assault, and one count of the misdemeanor offense of Domestic Battery.
— Cannon Lee Furman, 26, Wheeling, three counts of the felony offense of Malicious Assault.
— Clark O'Brien Butler, 40, Wheeling, one count of the felony offense of Domestic Violence, Third or Subsequent Offense.
— Kenneth Wilkenson, Jr., 18, Glen Dale, one count of the felony offense of Reckless Fleeing in a Vehicle.
— Brady Lynn Moore, 45, Triadelphia, one count of the felony offense of Reckless Fleeing in a Vehicle.
— William Robert Taylor, 40, Wheeling, West Virginia, charging him with one count of the felony offense of Destruction of Property; two counts of the felony offense of Grand Larceny and one count of the felony offense of Possession of Stolen Property.
— Gary J. Hackathorn, Jr., 41, Triadelphia, one count of the felony offense of Malicious Assault.
— Ethan Joe Willey, 19, Wellsburg, one count of the felony offense of Entering Without Breaking and one count of the felony offense of Conspiracy.
— Marc Dillion Steadham, 35, Wheeling, two counts of the felony offense of Burglary.
— William Phillip Timmins, Jr., 51, McMechen, one count of the felony offense of Grand Larceny.
— John Arden Lynch II, 41, Wheeling, three counts of the felony offense of Embezzlement and one count of the felony offense of Fraudulent Schemes.
— Jennifer Sherman, 49, Wheeling, two counts of the felony offense of Embezzlement, one count of the felony offense of Fraudulent Schemes, and one count of the felony offense of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card.
— Donald Allen Ewing, 37, Bridgeport, Ohio, one count of the felony offense of Fraudulent Schemes and one count of the felony offense of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses.
— Terrence Louis Baxter, 59, Bridgeport, Ohio, one count of the felony offense of Intimidation of a Witness.
— Shawn Matthew Fuscardo, 52, Wheeling, two counts of the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine.
— John Doe, 47, Bridgeport, Ohio, one count of the felony offense of Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – a Narcotic Drug: Fentanyl, three counts of the felony offense of Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - a Narcotic Drug: Fentanyl Within 1000 feet of a School and one count of the felony offense of Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine Within 1000 feet of a School.
— Lauren Michelle Piasecki, 45, Pittsburgh, one count of the felony offense of Fraudulent Schemes.
— Marco Dewayne Vogle, 27, Martins Ferry, Ohio, one count of the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - a Narcotic Drug: Cocaine.
— Jonathan Cephus, 30, North Wales, Pennsylvania, charging him with one count of the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - a Narcotic Drug: Fentanyl and one count of the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - a Narcotic Drug: Cocaine.
Names of John Does who were indicted may be released at a later time once these individuals have been taken into custody.
The individuals indicted and assigned to the Honorable Judge David J. Sims are required to appear at the Ohio County docket day on Sept. 24, beginning at 9 a.m., and the individuals indicted and assigned to the Honorable Michael J. Olejasz are required to appear at the Ohio County Docket Day on Sept. 24, at 11 a.m.
