A high-speed chase that began in Marshall County, West Virginia, took multiple law enforcement agencies into Belmont County, Ohio, before ending with the suspect crashing his vehicle, according to published reports.
According to reports, Marshall County deputies were made aware of a purple Dodge Charger driving through the county with the driver suspected of strong-arm battery and domestic battery. Deputies started pursuing the vehicle, taking them on a chase that went through Ohio County, West Virginia, and across the Ohio River into Belmont County. The driver crashed on Ohio 7 North near the Barnesville exit, and was then taken into custody by the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office. The Wheeling Police Department also assisted in the pursuit.
