TRIADELPHIA - Two motorcycles participating in the motorcade to welcome "The Wall That Heals," a Vietnam War wall replica, were allegedly forced into each other while traveling on Interstate 70 on Tuesday, according to Ohio County Sheriff Nelson Croft.
The motorcade left The Highlands at noon, and the incident occurred soon after near Mile Marker 7 on flat road near the Millennium Center, according to Croft.
"A pickup truck struck the back of a motorcycle, which led to traffic slowing down," he explained. "Then the first motorcycle ran into another."
Both motorcycles were part of the motorcade, while the pickup truck was not, Croft said.
He reported that two people were transported with injuries, and that the incident was still under investigation. There have not yet been any citations issued.
