St. John the Divine Getting an Early Jump on Holidays

Volunteers from St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Christian Church in Wheeling spent a great part of the day Saturday making baklava ahead of the upcoming holiday season. Trays upon trays of the sweet pastry treat will be frozen and sold in upcoming holiday bake sale fundraisers with proceeds benefiting a variety of community agencies, projects and programs. The authentic, homemade Greek baklava can be baked at home and enjoyed during the holidays. Among those on hand at the church Saturday was the family team of Anna, Presvytera Shelly and Despina Tsikouris, from left.
