DAVID RUSSELL

David Lee Russell, 61, of McMechen, WV, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Liza’s Place, Wheeling.

David was born April 15, 1953, in Wheeling to Vera Braun Russell and the late Paul W. Russell. He was a Christian by faith, self-employed carpenter who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Diane Breiding Russell of McMechen; mother, Vera Braun Russell of McMechen; four children, Denise (Mark) Mucheck, of McMechen; Debbie Willis of Wheeling, WV, Deana (Tony) Ferrera of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Davy Russell of Wheeling,WV; sister, Judy Runyon of Moundsville, WV; three brothers, Pete Russell of McMechen, Paul (Mary Lou) Russell of Tiltonsville, Ohio, and Dennis Russell of Wheeling; seven grandchildren, Lucas and Kane Russell, Grace and Mia Ferrera, Mason and Brooklyn Mucheck and Mike Willis; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, Wednesday, April 30, from noon until 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.
