Jimmie "Jim" Arthur Truex, 68, of Colliers, WV, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
Born on Feb. 13, 1949, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Hansel and Doris (Miller) Truex.
Jimmie attended Follansbee High School and went on to serve his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He retired from Weirton Steel Corp. after 32 years as a motor inspector and retired from Schnider Trucking after 13 years. He attended the Beech Bottom Community Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah "Debbie" (Painter) Truex at home; two children, Jamie (Chris) Powell of Colliers, WV, and Kyle Truex of Follansbee, WV; three step-children, Stacie (Jay) Rhoades of Pataskala, OH, Amy Hamilton of Pataskala, OH, and Michael (Jolyne) Sicurella of Wellsburg, WV; nine siblings, Harry, Jerry, Gary, Robert "Bobbie", Mark, and Brian Truex, Linda Truex, Judy Truex and Barb Mallory; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV, with the Rev. Daniel Harry officiating.
Inurnment will be held privately.
