EMILY SASEEN
Emily Seth Saseen, 88, of Wheeling, died Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 7, 1931, in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Emil and Lavera Wollenweber Seth.
Emily was a retired nurse for Wheeling Hospital; worked many years along side her husband at Saseen’s Restaurant, Wheeling; a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Saseen; and a daughter, Cheryl Stephens.
Surviving are two sons, Chris Saseen and his wife Maggie of Wheeling, and Mark S. Saseen and his wife Allison of Wheeling; a sister, Judy Miller and her husband Jim of Martins Ferry, OH; a brother, Donald Seth of CA; six grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, at 1:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Mt. Olivet, with Rev. Joseph Augustine and Msgr. Bakhos Chidiac as co celebrants. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
Vigil service will be on Sunday, at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 690 Mount Olivet Road, Wheeling, WV, 26003.
