Taylor Wright Wilson 41 of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 21, 2020. Taylor will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Taylor grew up in Wheeling, WV, and graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 1997. He then served four years in the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation CV-64 out of San Diego, CA. He served three Western Pacific tours and in Operation Southern Watch and Enduring Freedom.
Taylor worked as a Maintenance Technician repairing cargo container cranes for Hubert Lines in Chicago and belonged to the Midwest Operating Engineers Union Local 150. It was a job he was very proud of.
Taylor loved to mountain bike, boat, and fish on Lake Michigan and at the family cabin on the Cacapon River in the Eastern Panhandle of WV. Taylor was an excellent chef and his passion was to cook for his family and friends.
Taylor was preceded in death by his father, William Pannell Wilson, III, grandmothers, Marjorie H. Rigby and Jane W. Hazlett and Grandfather, Russell J. MacMullan.
Taylor is survived by his mother Galey MacMullan Wilson, his twin brother Christopher George Wilson (Shanna), sister Leigh Wilson Wood (Brian), brothers W. James Wilson (Jamey) and William P. Wilson IV (Peggy). He was proud to be "Uncle Taylor" to Brendon, Parker, Heidi, Justin, Sadie, Lily and Brice.
Due to Covid restrictions, a Memorial Mass and burial along with a celebration of Taylor's life will be held Memorial weekend 2021.
