Rachel Lynn Collins, 40, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Wheeling, WV passed away at her mother's home in Wheeling after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Rachel was born January 8, 1980 in Wheeling, the daughter of Marilyn Ward Collins and the late Scott "Bobo" Collins.
She was a former trust officer for WesBanco, a member and sustainer of the Wheeling Junior League and a member St. Michael's Catholic Church in Wheeling.
Rachel was a creative spirit, a gifted artist of many talents including drawing, painting, photography and pottery.
She enjoyed life and adored her family and friends. Throughout her battle with cancer, she displayed the utmost strength and perseverance -- she will always be remembered as a true warrior.
Survivors include her mother, Marilyn (Ward) Collins of Wheeling; a brother, Jesse (Christyn) Collins of Denver, CO; a niece, Savannah Collins of CO; a nephew, Jordan Scott Collins of CO; her companion, James "Jordy" Janeczko; aunts, Brenda (Jim) Bykoski of GA; Joyce (Greg) Bosold of St. Clairsville, Debi (Terry) Hetzel of WA; uncle, Don W. Collins, Jr. of WA; a goddaughter, Sadie Day of OH; many very special cousins, including her cousin, Rebecca, with whom she shared an eternal bond and mutual admiration; and her two beloved dogs, Matisse and Misty Mae.
Family & friends will be received at Grisell Funeral Homes, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1pm with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating.
Masks and social distancing are required at the family's request.
