McKEETS, George E., 79, of Melbourne FL, formerly of Wheeling WV, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at his home in Florida.
George attended St. Vincent's grade school, then went on to St. Mary's Seminary in Penndel PA. He graduated from West Liberty State College (now West Liberty University) and received his master's degree from North- eastern University in Boston.
George and his wife, Barbara, lived in the Boston area and then in North Carolina during his career with Northrop Grumman. They retired to Melbourne FL, where they lived happily together until Barbara's death in 2015.
In addition to his wife, George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Joanna McKeets of Wheeling. George is survived by his stepdaughter, Lisa Shaw, and her family, of Tucson AZ, and his brother, Ted McKeets (Jeanne), of Wheeling, as well as numerous cousins.
There will be no visitation. Interment will be at a later date in Quincy, Massachusetts. Arrangements by Brownlie- Maxwell Funeral Home of Melbourne, FL.
